KAHULUI – The Maui Police Department requests the public’s assistance with any information on the whereabouts of 81-year-old Mimmie “Mele” Hoffman of Kahului.

Ms. Hoffman was reported missing on July 16 by a family member after she failed to return home. She was last seen leaving her residence in Kahului around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16. Ms. Hoffman is known to frequent the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center and Kahului Library.

Ms. Hoffman does not have a cellular phone, and her family is concerned for her safety and well-being.

Ms. Hoffman is described as Japanese, 4-foot-1, weighs about 89 pounds, and has grey hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white colored shirt; no other clothing or footwear description was provided.
