Director from UH Maui College to speak at Rotary
Karen Hanada, director of Extended Learning and Workforce Development at the University of Hawaii Maui College, will be the speaker at the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset meeting on April 1.
According to the Rotary Club, Hanada’s presentation will focus the Maui Food Innovation Center, a business incubator supporting local food producers that received a $22,000 grant from the Rotary District 5000 Foundation’s Maui Fires Relief Fund. The funds enabled Lahainaluna High School students to participate in the center’s education, training and business development programs.
The meeting will be in the Lahaina Noon Restaurant at the Royal Lahaina Resort and Bungalows, 2780 Kekaa Drive. Social time and ordering food and drink from the Happy Hour Menu will be at 4 p.m. The program is from 4:30-5:30 p.m. To attend in person, email Club Service Chair Laura Stanton at lstanton127@outlook.com.
