Na Kamehameha Pa’u Parade on Saturday will affect some Maui Bus routes

Due to the closure of Ka’ahumanu Avenue on Saturday, June 21, for Nā Kamehameha Pa’u Parade, Maui Bus service will be rerouted and some bus stops will not be in service.

The changes are:

Kahului Loop Route No. 5

• Eliminating the 9:35 a.m., 10:35 a.m. and 11:35 a.m. Wahinepio Avenue/Maui Arts and Cultural Center, Roselani Place and South Papa Avenue/Kea Street stops from the Kahului Transit Center.

Kahului Reverse Loop Route No. 6

• Eliminating the 9:38 a.m., 10:38 a.m. and 11:38 a.m. South Papa Ave/Kea Street, Roselani Place and Wahinepio Avenue/UH-Maui College stops going to the Kahului Transit Center.

Wailuku Loop Route No. 1

• Eliminating the 9:36 a.m., 10:36 a.m. and 11:36 a.m. Maui Memorial Medical Center and Maui Lani Parkway stops. Eliminating the 9:16 a.m., 10:16 a.m. and 11:16 a.m. Kanaloa Avenue stops.

Wailuku Reverse Loop Route No. 2

• Eliminating the 9:05 a.m., 10:05 a.m. and 11:05 a.m. Kanaloa Avenue stops.

The remaining bus routes will operate as normal with some deviation in street routing while continuing to serve existing bus stops.

Passengers should expect delays in pick-up times due to increased traffic during the parade.
