Rotary ‘Friendraiser’ coming Sept. 12

Rotary Club members and the public are invited to attend a free “Friendraiser” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at Heritage Hall, 401 Baldwin Ave. in Paia. During the event, Rotary District 5000 Gov. Benson Medina will discuss how Hawaiian values align with Rotary’s core principles. It will offer attendees an opportunity to share a meal and discuss the future of the Maui community. Lunch will be provided at no cost. Advance registration is requested at tinyurl.com/3evajac4. Festivals of Aloha will kick off its 2026 schedule of events Sept. 4 with Wailuku First Friday, but that’s just the beginning of the celebrations in September and October. The Lahainaluna High School Foundation will hold its annual general meeting at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 15 in the Samuel Kamakau Library on campus.
