Woman regains pulse after rescue at Nakalele Point

On Wednesday, a 27-year-old Florida woman fell about 10 feet from the shoreline into the ocean at Nakalele Point in West Maui, according to the Maui Fire Department. Maui firefighters and Ocean Safety officers responded to the incident at 12:42 p.m. after receiving a report the woman had fallen into the water and was unable to get out. When rescue crews arrived, the woman was floating face down about 40 yards offshore from the popular site featuring trails along the rocky coastline and the Nakalele Blowhole.
