Seven brought to shore after canoe partially swamps off Kihei

Seven people were brought to shore Tuesday after a double-hull outrigger canoe partially swamped about 200 yards offshore of South Maui, according to the Maui Fire Department. Firefighters and ocean safety officers responded to a location near the 300 block of South Kihei Road at 8:25 a.m. and found multiple people in the water.
