Upcountry residents asked to conserve water
Upcountry Maui water customers are being asked to conserve water while the Kamole Water Treatment Plant undergoes upgrades, the Maui County Department of Water Supply announced. The six- to eight-week project includes replacement membranes, a new control system and other improvements. The plant is expected to return to service in early November. With the plant offline, water treatment capacity for the Upcountry system will be temporarily reduced.
