Play at Waiehu Municipal Golf Course will be altered Aug. 4-14 because of a delay in the delivery of material needed for a new pond liner, according to the Maui County Department of Parks and Recreation. During that time, golfers will play the back nine twice while the front nine is closed. Work on the pond liner is still expected to be completed by the end of August. On Friday, multiple units responded at 3:33 p.m. after a 62-year-old woman fell while hiking on the Pipiwai Trail in Kipahulu. A jury deliberated for less than two hours Thursday before convicting Roberto Omar Morales Andrade, 49, of Lahaina on 16 counts of sexual assault involving a child.
