Two swimmers rescued in less than two hours at Maui beach parks

Ocean safety officers responded to two separate emergencies Wednesday, including one at Baldwin Beach Park and another Kanaha Beach Park, according to the Maui County Department of Fire and Public Safety. The first incident was reported at 9:51 a.m. at Baldwin Beach Park, where Ocean Safety officers noticed a 57-year-old man in distress in the shorebreak several hundred yards from the lifeguard tower.
