To increase flexibility, the Maui County Department of Public Works' Development Services Administration has implemented new procedures for factory-built housing in the Lahaina Burn Zone. Kahului man dies in Kuihelani Highway crash

A man has died after a crash Thursday morning on the Kuihelani Highway. Maui police identified the man as Victor Harris, 27, of Kahului. The crash happened at about 6:06 a.m. Thursday near Kuihelani Highway and East Waiko Road. According to the preliminary investigation, Harris was driving a 2015 Nissan Versa south on the highway when the Nissan failed to slow down in traffic and hit the back of a 2024 Thomas bus.
