Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, announces the hatching of its first African Penguin (Spheniscus demersus) chick born on property in nearly 17 years. Hawaii gas prices rise slightly over past week

Average gasoline prices in Hawaii increased 2.3 cents per gallon over the past week, reaching $5.62 per gallon, according to a GasBuddy survey of 355 stations statewide. Despite the increase last week, prices were 4.2 cents lower than a month ago but remained $1.21 higher than at the same time last year. Nationally, the average price of gasoline fell by 1 cent over the past week to $4.47 per gallon. The national average is 45.2 cents higher than a month ago and $1.33 above prices recorded a year earlier.
