Tikehau Lounge earns regional honors in cocktail awards

Tikehau Lounge in Wailea has been named a Top 10 regional finalist in two categories for the 2026 Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards. The craft cocktail bar was recognized in the U.S. West region for Best U.S. Bar Team and Best U.S. Cocktail Bar, according to a news release. Utility work to impact traffic on Puunene Avenue

Hawaiian Electric crews will remove retired streetlights along Puunene Avenue in Kahului from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 28. No outages are planned. The work will require the partial closure of the northbound lane of Puunene Avenue between Wakea Avenue to E. Kauai Street. Safety signs, arrow boards and traffic cones will mark the work area and guide motorists through the altered lanes. Flaggers will provide on-site traffic control. Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the area and to expect delays.
