Kaiser Permanente Hawaii is offering programs for Maui students interested in health care careers, including a career exploration event and a paid summer internship. A Career Exploration Day will be 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. April 25 at the Kaiser Permanente Wailuku Medical Office. The event, held in partnership with STEMworks, is open to intermediate and high school students and will include hands-on activities and opportunities to meet health care professionals. Donations of ti leaves are being sought to ensure there are enough materials for 4,350 lei to honor every fallen veteran at Maui Veterans Cemetery on Memorial Day. Ti leaves may be dropped off from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Kaunoa Senior Center, 401 Alakapa Place in Spreckelsville.
