Sharon Anita Kaho’okele, 80 of lower Nahiku went to be with our Lord May 16, 2022. Born January 6, 1942 in Sparenburg, Texas, she moved to Hawaii in 1969. Married James Kahookele in 1972 and moved to Maui 1975. She is survived by daughters: Ellen and JeanMary Kahookele and four grandchildren: James (Jaime) Kahookele, Rylee, Kaimi and Charley Kahuhu Kahookele. Gerald Yokouchi of Wailuku passed away peacefully at home on April 21, 2022 surrounded by his family. Those who knew him will remember his soft-spoken manner and kind heart. He loved to golf & socialize at the 19th hole and of course trips to Las Vegas. More importantly he loved his family, and was a fantastic husband, dad, uncle and friend. Betsy Matsumura, 99, of Makawao, died April 04, 2022, at Hale Makua in Kahului. Mrs. Matsumura retired from First Hawaiian Bank after many years. She enjoyed volunteering at the church and playing hanafuda. She was predeceased by her husband, Yuwao Matsumura, siblings Kenneth Kato and Laura Sasaki. Tokio “Jack” Kakiuchi of Kahului passed away on April 22, 2022 at his home under the care of Hospice Maui. He was born on July 16, 1925 in Paia, Maui. “Jack” retired from Maui Land and Pineapple Company after more that 40 years of service. He is predeceased by his wife Shizue “Betty” Kakiuchi.
