Evelyn “Ulu” Hashimoto (Vida), Loving wife, mother and grandmother, 86, of Hana, Maui, passed away on March 24, 2022 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born on May 17, 1935, in Pauwela, Maui, Hawaii. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Ballard Family Mortuary; service will begin at 11:00 a.m.; cremation will follow. Kimiko “Terry” Inamasu passed away on February 28, 2022 at Islands Hospice Kahului. She was born in Kaupakalua, Maui (a township of Makawao) to Yasumatsu and Nobu Fujii Teramae on April 07, 1927. Those who knew her will remember her beautiful flowers, humility, kindness, generosity and positive demeanor. Benjamin Rivera of Haiku, Maui passed away in his home on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 14, 1938 to Mauricio and Andrea Rivera. Ben was very athletic and became a 4-Year Letterman for track and football. After graduating from Baldwin High School Class of 1957, he attended the University of Hawaii and became a Football Alumni. Upon his return home, he volunteered as an Assistant Coach for his alma mater in the 1960’s and later became the Defensive Coach for the Haiku Vikings in the 70’s. Shane K Shimizu passed away in Kahului on April 03, 2022. He was born on August 8, 1954 to the late Katsuto Shimizu and Matsue Shimizu. He is survived by his 2 sisters Iris (Levi) Quintana and Janice (Nolan) Castillo; 2 nieces Kylee Castillo and Kaili’i Castillo and many cousins. Shane was a printer for a wholesale printing company.
