Morito Saka of Kahului passed away in Hospice Maui on September 2, 2021. Morito was born in Waihee, Maui. He is survived by his brother Masaru “JB” Saka and predeceased by two brothers Charles and John and three sisters Tsuruyo Takemoto, Yoshie Tagami and Mildred Mizoguchi. Susumu Taketa, age 95, passed away peace-fully on September 3, 2021 at his home in Wailuku. He was born on January 2, 1926 in Wailuku, Maui. Susumu was an auto mechanic and worked at Haleakala Motors and Hertz Rent-a-Car. His hobbies were driving in the stock car races when he was young, gardening and sharing his crops with his friends and family and visiting with his friends at Wailuku Hongwanji Mission.
