Alice Sachiko Ito, 87, of Wailuku, passed away peacefully at Hale Makua Kahului on November 25, 2016. Services honoring Mrs. Ito were held privately at her request. Alice was born on June 7, 1929 in Wailuku, Maui.  She graduated from Lahaina Luna high school.  She married her love, Henry Ito and together they had one child.  They also owned and operated the Henry Ito Orchid Nursery.  After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017, at St. Anthony Church in Wailuku. Chiyoko Nakamura, 103, of Wailuku, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2016, under the care of Hospice Maui. Services were held privately at her family’s request.
