Rita Cabral Leval, 87 of Wailuku, passed away on December 22, 2016 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was born on April 17, 1929 in Puunene, Maui. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017, at St. Anthony Church in Wailuku. Mrs. Satsue O. Kanechika, “Sachi,” to her family and close friends, of Kahului, died November 29, 2016 in Honolulu. She was born on April 25, 1924 in Wailuku, Maui to Haruyo & Kesajiro Ogawa. Satsue was predeceased by her husband, Kingo Kanechika, who was a veteran of the 442nd RCT, Company M.
