Gale Fusayo (Okamura) Nakata, 72, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 9, 2026. A proud 1971 graduate of Lahainaluna High School, Gale was a familiar and welcoming face at the Territorial Savings Bank (Lahaina Branch), where she dedicated decades of service until her retirement. Her commitment to her community extended well beyond her work; she served faithfully as an active member and treasurer for the Lahaina Shingon Mission Church and was a fiercely loyal fan and supporter of the Lahainaluna High School Wrestling Team since 1986. A retired registered nurse, she is survived by Wallace and their children: Dawn (Steven Dann), Susan (Jeff Shimizu), Nelson (Janet Ishibashi) and Teri (Jason Shimizu); grandchildren: Julie (Jayson Fong), Thomas, Mitchell, Dr. Trey, Jonathan, Douglas, and Jennifer; and great grandson: Ethan. Harold Wright Doe, 87, of Kula, HI passed away at home under the care of Hospice Maui on May 2, 2026. Born in Emporia, VA, Harold graduated from Chaminade University where he meet his wife, Diane Fujii. He was a proud Veteran, an avid New England Patriots fan, stamp and bird figurine collector, and voracious reader. He is survived by his wife, Diane, his two daughters Danielle (Rhett) and Whitney, and his two grandchildren. A celebration of life will be on June 16, 2026 at Ballard Mortuary at 8am, followed by the burial at Maui Veterans Cemetery at 10:30am.
