Rick Nava is an excellent choice for Maui County Council because he has proven leadership skills, is a local business owner, veteran and a community leader who has a global view. For example, his service as police commissioner allows him to bring a depth of experience about how to best protect our citizens. This is complimented by his long history serving our country as a veteran.

As a business owner, he knows what it takes and the bureaucracies every Maui business owner must face to provide products and services to our citizens. His dedication to people and service is also shown by his leadership in Rotary International, where he has made numerous trips to the Philippines to provide clean freshwater, restrooms and safety to the children of this country.

His global view extends further than this, however, as he has learned that successful economies must plan for success, minimize problems, and seek fiscally conservative approaches so services are maximized, thereby allowing our entire community to get the greatest bang for the taxpayer’s buck.
