DeAguiar scores 9 in Bears’ 15-6 win over Spartans

Mikela DeAguiar had nine goals to lead the Baldwin High School girls water polo team to a 15-6 victory over Seabury Hall on Tuesday afternoon at Kihei Aquatic Center.
Jade Brown added two goals for the Bears, who led 8-2 at halftime en route to improving to 4-1 in Maui Interscholastic League play. Avangelina Vila, Jasmine Devery, Kylee Takeda and Ava Castillo also scored for Baldwin, and goalie Gracie Vila made seven stops.
Caroline Belew led the Spartans (1-5) with four goals, and Emma Davis and Kalla Pellettieri each added one.
In Tuesday’s first game at KAC, Lahainaluna remained undefeated with a 16-7 win over King Kekaulike.
The Lunas (6-0) were led by Zhi Clark, who netted eight goals. Cora Gruber and Eden Kanekoa each chipped in four goals.
Lily Barrett had five goals and Nicole Reimenschneider scored two for Na Alii (1-5).
