Two competitors from Maui — Kameo Rozet and Chaela Gantala — placed at the World of Wrestling Reno Worlds tournament over the weekend in Nevada.

Rozet finished third in the 10-under open division at 100 pounds and Chaela Gantala of Baldwin High School finished seventh for 15-under girls at 115 pounds.

The event is billed as the largest wrestling tournament in the world.

Maui coach Grant Nakamura, who won a title at the event as a youngster, guided a team of 11 competitors from the Valley Isle for the competition that took place March 31-April 2.
