Phillips, Kahalekai 1-hit Na Alii, Warriors win 2-0

Aka Phillips and Kaimi Kahalekai combined on a one-hit shutout, and the Kamehameha Schools Maui baseball team defeated King Kekaulike 2-0 on Friday night at Maehara Stadium in Wailuku.
Starting pitcher Phillips surrendered one hit and four walks in four innings, and Kahalekai finished up with three no-hit innings to pick up the save for the Warriors, who improved to 6-5 in Maui Interscholastic League Division I play. Kahalekai struck out five and walked one.
The Warriors’ Duke Aloy was the only batter to get multiple hits in the game, going 2 for 2 with a double.
Na Alii fell to 3-8.
n MOLOKAI 15, SEABURY HALL 12: At Kaunakakai, the Farmers held off the Spartans to remain undefeated in MIL play at 11-0.
Nahe Puhi and Kynan Cariaga-Abafo each drove in two runs for Molokai, which has already clinched the MIL Division II regular-season title and the No. 1 seed for next week’s MIL D-II tournament at Maehara Stadium.
Heath Lopez earned the win on the mound, and Cariaga-Abafo picked up the save.
Carter Rosenthal led Seabury (7-4) at the plate, going 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs.
n LANAI 17, HANA 1, 3 INNINGS: At Maehara Stadium, the Pine Lads (4-7) used a 13-run second inning to break open the game against the Dragons (0-11).
Reece Etrata drove in three runs, and Jonathan Baltero and Jaiden Vidad each had two RBIs for Lanai.
Pine Lads pitcher Jake Barcena allowed just one hit in three innings, striking out four and walking one.
