MIL basketball: Division I leaders Baldwin, Kamehameha both fall

The top two teams in Maui Interscholastic League Division I boys basketball both lost on Friday night.
At the Jon Garcia Gym on the Baldwin High School campus, Jordan Babcock poured in 34 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead King Kekaulike past previously unbeaten Baldwin 60-54.
Na Alii outscored the Bears 33-18 in the second half — King Kekaulike is now 3-7 in MIL play, while Baldwin fell to 7-1.
Babcock, a junior guard/forward, scored seven points in the first quarter, 11 in the second, nine in the third and seven in the final frame. He had 26 points in a 77-74 loss to Lahainaluna on Thursday.
The Bears were led by Dylan Kuia’s 16 points.
At Maui High’s Shine Matsui Athletic Center, the Sabers knocked off second-place Kamehameha Maui 55-45. Maui High outscored Kamehameha Maui 15-5 in the final quarter.
Ivan Domingo scored 16 points for the Sabers (2-7), while Rodney Vaka added 13 and Isacc Domingo had 11.
Dylan Schintzer led the Warriors (7-2) with 13 points.
