MIL volleyball: Sabers sweep past Baldwin

Luke Prangnell had 19 kills and five digs to help lead the Maui High School boys volleyball team to a sweep of Baldwin on Tuesday night at Shine Matsui Athletic Center in Kahului.
The Sabers (4-2) won 25-16, 27-25, 25-19 to leapfrog the Bears (4-3) for second place in the Maui Interscholastic League Division I standings.
Andrew Guzman dished out 26 assists and also had two blocks and an ace, and Levi Cummings added six kills and six digs for Maui High.
Statistics for Baldwin were not reported.
At Pukalani, Tai Wittenberg had 17 kills to lead King Kekaulike to a 25-15, 25-16, 25-10 sweep of Lahainaluna on Tuesday night.
Wittenberg also had five digs and an ace. Helson Hertin had 27 assists, Hua Haramoto had four kills, 14 digs and an ace, and Wyatt Perry and Mo’o Dukelow each had three kills and three blocks for Na Alii (2-4).
The Lunas (0-7) were led by Noa Gordon with nine kills and seven digs. Prince Dagupion had 19 assists and Kden Pu posted eight digs and five kills.
