Jail reports 1 new case, 3 recoveries

Another positive employee test for COVID-19 was reported Wednesday at the Maui Community Correctional Center, according to the state Department of Public Safety. Three staff members have recovered, bringing the total to seven employees and two inmates with active COVID cases at the Wailuku jail, the department reported. The two inmates were in medical isolation.

Virus hospitalizations rise in Hawaii as omicron spreads
