Maui County Council candidate Ka'ala Buenconsejo has received endorsements from the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and the Hawaii Construction Alliance, according to an announcement from his campaign.The ILWU represents more than 8,500 Maui County residents working in the agriculture, tourism and general trades industries. The Hawaii Construction Alliance represents more than 2,000 construction workers.Buenconsejo is seeking the council's West Maui residency seat held by Council Member Elle Cochran.
