Christmas Eve at Keawala‘i Church

The Annual Christmas Eve Service at historic Keawala‘i Congregational Church - United Church of Christ will be held on Sunday, Dec. 24, beginning at 4:30 p.m. on the grounds of the church. The outdoor service includes the church choir under the direction of Cameron Keys along with featured special guest musicians Anthony Pfluke and Jamie Lawrence. ‘Blue Christmas’ to be held Thursday at Iao

Not everyone is feeling merry or bright as we approach the holidays. Instead of the usual celebration of Christmas, churches in Wailuku are offering a Blue Christmas Service at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21 at Iao United Church of Christ, 2371 W. Vineyard St., Wailuku. King’s Maui to host Day and Night of Hope

In the spirit of resilience and community, Lahaina residents impacted by the Maui fires are invited to Day of Hope 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Lahaina Civic Center. Sunday, the broader community is welcomed to Night of Hope at King’s Maui at 6 p.m. Registration for Day of Hope is 9 a.m. Saturday at at Lahaina Civic Center. Keawala‘i Church to bless animals Saturday

All are welcome to the Annual Blessing of the Animals service set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Keawala‘i Congregational Church in Makena. Churches celebrate the blessing of animals in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures. Readings, prayers, and a blessing will be offered as well as pictures with Santa. Arrangements for the day include the needs of the various animals such as dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, rabbits or any other pets. Dogs must be leashed at all times and other animals must be safely contained.
