Festival of Shavuot to begin Tuesday The Festival of Shavuot will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Beit Shalom, 634 Alulike St. in Kihei. The Festival of Shavout is also known as the Festival of Weeks, Festival of First Fruits and the Festival of the Giving. The festival will begin with the Maariv/evening service. A light Mitzvah meal and a no-time-limit study session/ Tikun Leil Shavuot will follow the service. The session will cover various topics in the Tanach-Bible.
