The Jewish Congregation of Maui will host its annual Purim Party at 5 p.m. Wednesday at 634 Alulike St., Kihei. New spiritual leader Rabbi Raanan Mallek will preside. The event will include a kids play, dramatic and traditional reading of the megillah, dove release, Persian food and hamantaschen, live music and dancing with Naor and friends. Costumes are encouraged for both adults and children. To RSVP and to view a schedule of events for the evening, visit www.mauijews.org. Admission is free. Donations are requested. Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 520 W. One St. in Kahului has set its Lenten and Holy Week Services. Lenten Services are scheduled for 6 p.m. March 9, 16, 23 and 30, and on April 6. Maundy Thursday is at 6 p.m. April 14. Good Friday follows the next day at 6 p.m. Easter Sunday services are set for 8 and 10:45 a.m. April 17. St. Anthony Catholic Church in Wailuku will hold Christmas Day Mass at 7 and 9:30 a.m. today, according to a church announcement. There will be no 5 p.m. Mass on Christmas Day and no Reconciliation. Christmas services set at St. Johns Episcopal Christmas Eve services at St. John’s Episcopal Church are set for 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. today. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (808) 878-1485. Services are outdoors, seating is socially distanced and masks are always required, indoors or out. The Annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service for Keawala‘i Congregational Church — United Church of Christ will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 24, on the grounds of the church.
