Families leaving over skyrocketing premiums

There is a whole new wave of events that is happening on Maui that will increase the numbers of locals and long-time residents leaving this state. When the locals leave, there will be no work force. Nobody to serve the very rich that are replacing us. It’s been happening since COVID and it’s been steadily increasing. Now, since the fires, there is a whole new threat. If King was mayor, fewer lives would have been lost

It is too bad.  If Kelly King had been elected mayor, more lives may well have been spared by the horrific fires. Why? More competent decision making by more qualified people at the helm in positions of authority, including and especially Mayor Richard Bissen. Canada hate speech law allows anonymous claims

Our Canadian cousins are becoming the “canary in the coal mine” when it comes to personal liberty and free speech. This past month, the Canadian government passed Bill C-63, which, among other things, allows anyone to anonymously accuse you of a potential hate speech violation they are convinced may occur sometime in the future. Based solely on this anonymous claim, you can be arrested, fixed with an ankle monitoring bracelet, forced into house arrest and subject to weekly monitoring of bodily fluids. Mahalo to Mahi Pono for bringing green back

It warms my heart to see all the fields filling up with edible crops and fruit trees. I love the signage indicating what’s growing where. Would love more signs especially along the Mokulele Highway. Mahalo to Mahi Pono for bringing green fields back to our beautiful Valley Isle. The increased food security is pretty wonderful too.
