Another MCCC inmate tests positive
Another inmate tested positive for COVID-19 at the Maui Community Correctional Center, where the number of active inmate cases dropped to three because of more inmate recoveries, the Department of Public Safety reported Tuesday.
One inmate with COVID-19 remained hospitalized.
Since Feb. 1, 89 inmates have tested positive for COVID-19 and 86 have recovered, according to the department.
Two inmates were in isolation at the Wailuku jail and 166 were in quarantine Tuesday. One staff member was reported to have an active case, while another staff member has recovered.
