COVID-19 at a Glance

Latest developments:

• State Department of Health on Sunday reported 2,205 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 1,841 cases on Oahu, 132 on Maui, 118 on Hawaii island, 68 on Kauai, 17 on Molokai, one on Lanai and 28 Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.

• There have now been 102,389 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 71,794 on Oahu, 12,440 in Hawaii County, 11,368 in Maui County (10,920 on Maui, 291 on Molokai and 157 on Lanai) and 3,597 on Kauai. A total of 3,190 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.

• No new deaths were reported on Sunday; the statewide fatality count remains at 1,082.

• Honolulu County is averaging 1,155 new cases a day and a test positivity rate of 13 percent, followed by Maui County at 81 cases and 7.4 percent, Hawaii County at 55 cases and 6.2 percent and Kauai County at 35 cases and 6.1 percent.

• Hawaii has reached a 73.9 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 77 percent, Kauai County at 71 percent and Maui and Hawaii counties both at 66 percent.
