The next huli ‘ia at Kapukaulua Baldwin Beach will begin at 9 a.m. Nov. 7. Based on previous sessions, organizers expect to take about 1.5 hours to cover all of the kilo categories.
The event follows a dune planting day, in which nearly 1,000 plants went into the ground.
Huli ‘ia supports the practice of Kilo ʻĀina to document seasonal changes across a landscape and to use natural cycles as a guide for management practices.
Attendees should gather near the pavilion area or the grassy area near the comfort station. People are encouraged to bring a beach chair, blanket or towel.
