Hāna metals and electronics recycling event June 20-21

East Maui residents can drop off appliances, auto batteries, tires, propane tanks, scrap metals and electronics during a Hāna metals and electronics recycling event on June 20 and June 21.

Items will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day at the Hāna Recycling Center across from the Hāna Landfill on Waikoloa Road. Items accepted for drop-off include e-waste like computers, televisions, printers and monitors; appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, air-conditioning units, water coolers, washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers and water heaters; auto batteries and tires; propane tanks with or without valves; and scrap metal.

Commercial drop-offs will not be accepted. Staff will be available to help remove items from residents’ vehicles.
