Haiku woman dies after May 10 wreck on Honoapiilani Highway

A woman from Haiku died Sunday from injuries sustained in a traffic collision May 10 on the Honoapiilani Highway in Kihei. According to Maui police, Teresa Campisi, 55, was driving a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta south on the highway at about 9:45 p.m. May 10. According to the preliminary investigation, Campisi was approaching the intersection with North Kihei Road when the Jetta drifted left across the grass median into oncoming traffic. The Jetta sideswiped a 2016 Dodge van before colliding head-on with a 2022 Volkswagen Atlas. Campisi was taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center with ...
