Nara Organics recalls infant formula over potential contamination

The Hawaii Department of Health is alerting residents to a recall of all lots of Nara Organics Powdered Infant Formula products due to potential contamination with Clostridium botulinum. The products were distributed nationwide, including direct-to-consumer sales from the Nara Organics website, as well as for purchase at Target stores in Hawaii. State officials are working with stores to pull the recalled products, including 400g and 700g Nara Organics Whole Milk Infant Formulas. Infant botulism is a rare but potentially fatal illness. County facilities to close temporarily for maintenance, testing

The Maui County Department of Parks and Recreation has announced temporary closures at facilities in West Maui and Central Maui later this month. The basketball court at Napili Park will be closed from June 22 through July 3 for resurfacing work. The project includes cleaning the court, sealing cracks, resurfacing and restriping court lines. All other areas of the park will remain open, although visitors may experience intermittent construction noise.
