Mitsuo Umemura, 94  

The celebration of life service for the late Mitsuo Umemura who passed away on January 5, 2023, will be held at the Faith In Jesus Church on Friday, January 27. Service will be at 10 am. Visitation will begin at 9 am. Mr. Umemura worked as an electrician for the State of Hawaii. He is survived by his wife Janet, daughter Joy, sister Akiko Miyasato plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by Pono, his very special pet. Burial will be at 12:30 pm at Maui Memorial Park. Nakamura’s Mortuary has been assisting the family! Samson Kahakauwila, of Kahului, passed away on January 8, 2023 at his home. He was born on March 4, 1950 in Honolulu. Joseph Faustino “Fox” Ricamara, 83, of Wailuku, passed away at home on December 25, 2022. He was born on November 8, 1939 in Wailuku, Maui to the late Faustino and Concordia Recamara. He graduated from St Anthony High School, Class of 1958. Joe was an Air Force veteran, a retired State of Hawaii Airport Crash/Rescue Firefighter and retired Taxi owner/driver. Barbara Jean (Glassman) Wood “Babs,” “Gramma Barbie” of Upcountry Maui slipped into her angel wings and headed for the pearly gates on November 26, 2022, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. She was 76.
