Congress must reject President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s plans to dismantle the U.S. Department of Education and undermine the foundation of public education in this country. We have witnessed countless attacks on public education at the hands of this president and his administration since he took office. In this most recent attack, nearly 50 percent of DOE employees were unjustly fired in the name of government efficiency. Letter: Airport speed bumps could, should be fixed

I totally agree with the letter (week of Feb 13-19) concerning speed bumps at Kahului Airport. For those first-time tourists to Maui who rent a car, they have no clue as to how dangerous those speed bumps are. They can not only damage your car, but also hurt the people inside the vehicle. I know they are trying to slow traffic, but these are a bit on the ridiculous side. These speed bumps could and should be fixed.
