Walk to the Box event on Tuesday In an effort to promote the importance of Native Hawaiian civic engagement and turnout at the polls, a collaboration of community organizations are again organizing several get-out-the-vote (GOTV) events across the state including on Maui. Mayoral candidate Richard Bissen and The Bissen Movement team will continue its series of Collective Kuleana Ohana Forums in Paia and Wailuku this month. The forums allow residents to meet with subject matter advocates, experts and facilitators who help show what it would be like to work with a Bissen administration, according to a news release from Bissen’s campaign. Mayor Michael Victorino will hold a talk story session from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at the West Maui Veterans Hall.
