Bryan brothers to offer instruction at Royal Lahaina camp

Sixteen-time Grand Slam winning doubles players Bob and Mike Bryan will take part in the High Powered Doubles Tennis Camp, set for Sept. 26-30 at the Royal Lahaina Tennis Ranch.

The Bryan brothers, widely considered the greatest doubles team in the history of tennis, joins former pro player and Olympic coach Tom Gullickson as well as other top coaches as instructors for the camp, which is for players ranked from 4.0 to 5.5 in the National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP).

The camp “aims to improve players’ doubles game with tennis tips and tricks during four days of instruction on return of serve strategies, effective doubles practice drills and improving players’ tennis mindset on ‘big points,’ ” according to an event news release.

Video analysis using Dartfish technology will be provided for each player.

The camp fees, which include ocean view accomodations for four nights at the Royal Lahaina Resort as well as a welcome cocktail reception and daily continental breakfast and lunch, is $3,595 per person for double occupancy and $3,895 for single occupancy.

As a team, the Bryan brothers — both 39 years old — have won titles at six Australian Opens, two French Opens, three Wimbledons and five U.S. Opens. In addition, Bob Bryan has seven Grand Slam mixed doubles titles, and Mike Bryan four. They also won the men’s doubles gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics.

Most recently, the brothers won the Monte Carlo Masters on Sunday for their 116th title overall.
