Na Alii improve to 2-1 with sweep of Bears

Tai Wittenberg had 11 kills and an ace to lead a balanced attack for the King Kekaulike High School boys volleyball team in a 25-18, 25-17, 25-21 victory over Baldwin on Tuesday night in Pukalani.
Troy Williamson added eight kills to go with an ace and a block, Sean Nason had six kills and Wyatt Perry had five kills and three blocks for Na Alii, who improved to 2-1 in Maui Interscholastic League play. Helson Hertin ran the show for King Kekaulike, posting 24 assists, an ace and a kill.
Avery Pauole had nine kills and two blocks, and Kona Anderson had three blocks, two kills and an ace to lead the Bears (1-2).
Also on Tuesday, Maui High won its season opener by outlasting Lahainaluna 19-25, 27-25, 15-25, 27-25, 15-11 in Kahului.
The Lunas fell to 0-2. No statistics were reported.
