Teachers union endorses IngDemocratic South Maui Rep. Kaniela Ing has been endorsed by the Hawaii State Teachers Association.The union represents 13,500 educators statewide, according to an announcement.Ing said it's the third straight election cycle he has received support from the teachers union."I am a product of Maui public schools, so support for our teachers is personal to me," Ing said. "Great teachers should be treated and compensated like the heroes they are."
