Woodson nets firefighters group backing

Democratic state Rep. Justin Woodson has been endorsed by the Hawaii Fire Fighters Association, according to an announcement.Woodson is seeking to keep the 9th House District seat that Gov. Neil Abercrombie appointed him to in early 2013. He is being challenged in the Aug. 9 primary by former Mayor James "Kimo" Apana.The 9th District includes Kahului, Puunene, Maui Lani and the Old Sand Hills subdivision.
