Avid Kihei golfer Phil Goodwin doesn’t allow a line of irrigation sprinklers to stop him from heading back to the clubhouse at Maui Nui Golf Club on a recent morning. Goodwin said he spends half his time at home and the other half on the links. A U.S. flag flies proudly over a golf bag that also includes red, white and blue club covers. “I’m extremely proud of my country,” he said.
