Maui vice officers recovered 429 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 1.04 grams of marijuana and $7,840 in cash a search of a vehicle parked in a lot on Lower Main Street on Tuesday.

Three arrests were made on charges of promoting a dangerous drug in the first degree, promoting a dangerous drug in the third degree, promoting a detrimental drug in the third degree, promoting a controlled substance near a park and criminal conspiracy, police said Thursday.

Lorden Cooper, 35, and Jamen Sugahara, 39, were charged in the case with bail set at $81,000 each.

The third person, a 35-year-old female, was released pending further investigation.

The vice division executed search warrants on a vehicle parked in the lot at 1063 Lower Main St., police said.
