Aunties Beach Day will be June 7 in Kahului

All “aunties” are invited to attend a fun morning of ocean and beach time to try new sports or improve at ones they are familiar with, including windsurfing, paddle boarding and Winging. All are welcome, regardless of skills or experience. The event will be from 9 a.m. to noon at the Hawaiian Canoe Club at 1 E. Ka‘ahumanu Ave., Ho‘aloha Park. County seeks public input on proposed disaster recovery plan amendment

Maui County is accepting public comments through July 1 on proposed changes to its Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery Action Plan related to the Strategic Voluntary Mitigation Buyout Program. The county announced Monday that the proposed updates are available for review on the Hoʻokumu Hou recovery website.
