Hawaiian Electric to survey Lahaina utility poles
Hawaiian Electric contractors will survey about 40 utility poles in areas above the Lahaina Bypass from Sept. 28 through Oct. 7. The work will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. as part of efforts to strengthen the electric grid and reduce wildfire risk. Temporary wooden stakes or markers may be placed near existing electrical infrastructure. The surveys will be conducted by three-person crews from Dudek.
