March 23, 1953 - May 9, 2020 Manuel "Manny" Clarabal, Jr., 67, of Lana'i City passed away peacefully on May 9, 2020 in Kahului at Islands Hospice. He lived on the island of Maui for many years working for Gate Gourmet formerly known as Dobbs International. Manny also took on part-time work with Budget Rent a Car and Eagles Distributors. In 2007 he went on to work for the County of Maui, Public Works department which brought him back to his birth island, Lana'i, where he worked until he retired in 2017. Amy Louise Ishikawa Ito, 76 of Pukalani, Maui passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and under the care Hospice Maui on May 15, 2020. Private services will be held. Amelia Kurahara, 94, of Kahului, Maui passed away on May 15, 2020 while under the loving care of Islands Hospice Maui. She was born to Katsumi and Kimiyo Katsutani on February 16, 1926 in Wailuku, Maui. She retired from the Department of Education as a Cafeteria Cook at Haiku Elementary School. Founder of Watanabe Taiko, she was passionate about sharing taiko music and the obon tradition. Lin is survived by her parents, Albert and Amy Watanabe; sister Kay (Ronald) Fukumoto; her companion of 35 years Brian Kasahara; and nephew Mitchell Fukumoto.
