King Kekaulike returned to action Sept. 5 at home and defeated Maui High 36-12 in a Maui Interscholastic League football game. The victory improved Kekaulike’s record to 2-1 in MIL contests, while Maui High fell to 1-2. Lanai rallied from a first-quarter deficit to defeat Molokai 34-28 in the Pine Lads’ season-opener Saturday at Molokai. In the eight-player Maui Interscholastic League football game, Ky-Mani Benanua scored four touchdowns for the Pine Lads, including three rushing touchdowns and a 45-yard punt return.
